HITCHCOCKTOBER: Vertigo
There's been a LOT of great art out there for Vertigo. I had a few ideas, it seemed that a photographic based direction felt the most unique to me. There's a clip of Scorsese talking about this scene that has always stuck with me, the moment Jimmy Stewart sees Kim Novak the first time, and it is the best use of color to introduce a character in film. A ruby red room, walls and chairs and all, and then her, in emerald green. Graphically, my idea was to enhance those choices. There's a few little hidden gems too. Up next is North by Northwest!
